Nagda

Grasim, Nagda is the world’s largest producer of spun-dyed specialty fibre. It produces a wide range of VSF to suit customer needs in terms of length, denier and colour. It is world’s first viscose plant to have Zero Liquid Discharge Plant.

Vilayat

Vilayat Unit’s first phase was commissioned in FY2015. It focuses on producing specialty fibres – modal and micro modal. The capacity was increased by 219 KTPA as brownfield expansion in 2022. It is one of the largest viscose manufacturing plants.

Kharach

The site was set up in 1997 for manufacturing premium grade Textile and Non-Woven VSF along with 3rd generation Excel fibres for Domestic & Export markets. Application Development centre for Textiles and Research centre for Fibres are also housed on site. Has Sulphuric Acid ,CS2 and Sodium Sulphate production set up.

Harihar

Harihar

The Harihar unit was the first manufacturing plant in India to use indigenous wood resources with in-house technology. It manufactures VSF and rayon grade pulp, the raw material for VSF. To make the process more sustainable, the unit produces rayon pulp with an innovative oxygen bleaching process that reduces the use of chlorine.

Indonesia

Indo Bharat Rayon (IBR)

PT. Indo Bharat Rayon (Indonesia) pioneered the production of viscose staple fibre (VSF) in Indonesia. Situated at Purwakarta in West Jawa, its plant has an installed capacity of over 200,000 tpa and is the world’s second largest manufacturer of VSF at a single location. The company also produces chemicals like anhydrous sodium sulphate and sulphuric acid, used in the detergent, glass, textile dyeing, and pulp and paper industries.

Promoted by Grasim Industries limited, India and local Thai entrepreneurs, Thai Rayon was incorporated in 1974. Thai Rayon is the pioneer as well as sole manufacturer of viscose staple fibre (VSF) in Thailand and is listed on the Thailand Stock Exchange since 1984.
